Electronic Music Awards To Return November 8th To Downtown Los Angeles

Celebrating Equality and Excellence In Electronic Music

It was announced today that following the Electronic Music Awards (EM Awards) successful debut in 2017, one of the highest debuts of any award show and watched by more than 2 million unique viewers around the world, the EM Awards will return to Willow Studios in Los Angeles’ Downtown Arts District for its 2018 event and global broadcast on November 8.

Under the banner “We're All The Same On The Dance Floor”, the 2018 EM Awards will celebrate equality and excellence in electronic music, which will be reflected in the broadcast performances and in the artists and fans spotlighted in their forthcoming content series.

Through thirteen categories, the EM Awards honors the leading underground and commercial artists, creatives, executives and visionaries shaping one of the most culturally relevant genres of music around the world. Some of the 2017 winners included Bonobo (Album of year), Eric Prydz (DJ of the year), Major Lazer + Justin Bieber (Single of the Year), Sasha (Record of the year), Rufus Du Sol (Live Act of the Year) and Alison Wonderland (New Artist of the Year). This is not a traditional award show. Without a seat in the house, last year’s audiences, both on-site and via a live stream, were taken into the heart of electronic music culture watching live performances from Moby, Illenium, Orbital, Autograf, Goldfish, Kidnap Kid, and Madeaux across three uniquely produced stages at a sold-out Willow Studios. With a nod to their cultural roots, the 2017 EM Awards also hosted a stage dedicated to the legacy of Detroit techno with performances from Juan Atkins, Floorplan, Delano Smith and The Saunderson Brothers.
